This adorable, historical home was built in 1875. This special place is close to everything in Golden, making it easy to plan your visit. It is fully stocked with kitchenware, linens, & towels! Just bring your toothbrush & clothes. Queen bed in the bedroom and air mattress available for living room to sleep a total of 5 guests if someone doesn't mind using the sectional couch. Smart tv, high speed internet, large yard and outdoor space. Retro themed home located in the heart of downtown Golden, just steps away from Clear Creek, Parfet Park & Vanover Park! Also super convenient to Colorado School of Mines, breweries, restaurants & shops. It's also a scenic drive to RedRocks, Denver, Boulder, ski resorts, BlackHawk casinos, Rocky Mtn. Tours are available at the Coors Brewery as well as at numerous historic sites dating from pioneer days. Golden is very bike-friendly! Lots of paths and easy to get around. The house is also super walkable to most of Golden's attractions. A car is recommended for trips outside of Golden. Failure to follow house rules (ie: no smoking, check out time, etc.) may result in extra fees or loss of security deposit. Please be mindful of check-in and especially check out times. If you are requesting early check-in or late check-out, do make sure to message us to see if this is possible. We will do our best to be accommodating, but communication is key. Starter supplies are provided; guests are responsible for their own paper/cleaning/toiletries after starter supplies run out.

This little house sure is a Blast from the Past. The retro decorative touches make it interesting too. The location is great. It’s walkable to downtown Golden plus a good supermarket. Kendra has provided everything you need. I think it would be a cold place in winter but there are many heaters provided. My husband found the bathroom to be too small.
The pictures make the space look larger than it is, which is fairly normal. However, first night I got locked out do to the door electronic lock thing running low batteries and refusing to unlock. Had to call the after hours number, they didn't come to fix the batteries until noon the next day. They have a large bug infestation at the moment. I've lived in Colorado for a long time, and even if the weather is weird this year, that is no excuse to having to wake up to bugs crawling on you and finding bugs everywhere. I stayed here because I was getting Married in Golden ans wanted to sleep closer to our venue. Next time I would rather spend the extra money on a hotel bug free. I have so many pictures of the bugs here.
The Retro House is cozy and in a great location within a short walking distance to everything in downtown Golden. Kendra is quick to respond to inquiries, I recommend!
